I never really planned to start a solo career…
But after The San Joes came to an end, I simply couldn’t let go of the joy of making music. It was still there. The spark was still alive. Inside me, I could still feel the stomping beats, the bent strings, those cheerful sounds you just can’t shake off.
That’s how the song “Goodbye” was born in my basement studio – a hymn to the end of the band, and to everything that remains.
My wife eventually encouraged me to send the song to Phil Merk. And then the magic happened. When Phil had worked his spell, I knew this song didn’t belong in a basement anymore. It needed to be released into the world.
Getting it out there was the easy part. Choosing an artist name was harder. Since I still had no real intention of pursuing a solo career, I simply went with my Instagram short name.
And just like that, paeddy70 was carried onto the platforms.
Then the fire caught. Working with Phil Merk (pgm-production.com) was too exciting, too inspiring, too good to stop.
By now, five songs have been released.
And a sixth song? It’s already far more than just an idea.
So we’ll keep on rock ’n’ roll.
We’ll keep the rock ’n’ roll alive. 🎸🔥
Back in the studio with Phil Merk (PGM Production)
Working with this music producer means so much to me. It’s more than just making music – it’s a creative exchange built on trust, inspiration, and true passion. Every moment in the studio feels alive, like something truly special is being created. I find so much joy in expressing myself artistically and exploring new ideas. And honestly, I’m really proud to be working with such an exceptional person and talent! Thank you very much!

"Passing days"
out on 29.05.2026
The fifth song of paeddy70 and Phil reflects on time as a quiet force that shapes us without asking. It moves between fleeting youth, changing identities, and the gentle persistence of dreams. Nothing is truly lost—only redefined—as moments fade, memories linger, and life continues in motion. Rather than resisting time’s passing, the song embraces it, finding meaning in presence, acceptance, and the simple act of living through the days as they unfold.

Another song out of Phil’s spellhouse:
“Someone” (February 2, 2026)
It is the fourth song of paeddy70 and delivers a striking blend of vulnerability and intensity, capturing the moment trust fractures and love slips into silence. This single marks a powerful, intimate spotlight on the search for truth after heartbreak—raw, resonant, and impossible to ignore.
Special thanks to: Ilenia (Backingvocals) and Roman Roth (Drums)

"Spread Your Wings" (August 22, 2025)
Hyperfollow for Spread your wings
It’s one of the most personal tracks I’ve ever written – raw, authentic, and straight from the heart. The music is meant to move you, give you strength, and stay with you for a long time. Every note, every word carries a piece of my soul. I can’t wait to share this special moment with you. So stay tunded!
“Fireball” (February 7,2025)
Written together with Phil back in 2022 and played live with The San Joes. Now re-produced and charged with lots of energy!
